The fancy dress preparations have begun! Local shops shiver
in fear as they are terrorised by member of the Nash in search of cardboard,
paint and various craft items in readiness for Wednesday night. Our kitchen is
currently full of dirty paintbrushes and oddly shaped cardboard and most other
kitchens in the university accommodation are too.
The competition is fierce for this year’s difficult theme of
Dukas’ ‘La Peri’ – everybody wants the best costume and everyone is fighting
for the most original idea.
Unfortunately, the details of our group’s costume are secret
and cannot be disclosed on a public forum that other members of the orchestra
may see. All will be revealed on Wednesday evening when we are certain that
there is no longer any chance of nashers stealing our ideas. Expect an update
later next week!
